First and foremost, upvotes provide a positive feedback loop, letting analysts know when they post something valuable and interesting. You can mention why you upvoted their post or leave your own opinion on the matter.

Data Verification

Upvotes are also meant to verify the information in a post. So please make sure you double check the information of a post you upvote where this is possible and appropriate.

Upvote Abuse

Abusing upvotes, ignoring the above purpose and ultimately hurting the platform and the value of all tokens, including your own, may lead to permanant ban and slashing of your locked tokens. Remember, even if a certain type of abuse is not explicitly mentioned here, the community may vote that upvotes were abused in a certain manner, which may still lead to slashing. So please be careful and use upvotes in a way that you genuinely believe will benefit the network.

How do Curators earn points?

1. Upvoting posts

Every user will get a curator point for every upvote they hand out. You can hand out a maximum of 3 upvotes per day.

2. Being one of the first people to upvote a post that gets very popular later on.

The number of people who will get a bonus point for being early, and the upvote threshold needed to get the bonus point is determined dynamically depending on platform usage.

This rule is intended to incentivize people to look through new content.

3. Being the first of 5 people to upvote a post from an unverified analyst.

All 5 curators will get a bonus point once the analyst gets confirmed.
